EMC is pleased to announce the availability of EMC Documentum Records Adapter 6.7 SP1 for Microsoft SharePoint. The Records Adapter for Microsoft SharePoint allows SharePoint users to manually declare formal records in Documentum using SharePoint documents. The Records Adapter for Microsoft SharePoint is designed for both typical and formal records (a typical record is simply a document with one or more of the policies on it – usually retention). This product can also take advantage of holds as well as information that is copied, moved or declared as a formal record into a location that has a hold will inherit the hold. So SharePoint documents copied, moved or declared into Documentum can take advantage of policy inheritance.
The Records Adapter for Microsoft SharePoint provides native SharePoint integration for end-users along with a metadata mapping manager for administrators. This new release is a replacement product for the EMC Records Activator for Microsoft SharePoint 5.3 SP6.
